WYOMING PUPIL TRANSPORTATION ASSOCIATION
The WPTA offers ongoing training, networking, and equipping opportunities for pupil transportation professionals. More information & sign ups can be found on the Members only page. Email board@wpta.net if you would like more information. See below for more information on some of these offerings:
Supervisors:
- Spring & Fall Workshops: these brief, 24 hour workshops are designed to provide training, updates, and encouragement to transportation supervisors. Spring workshops are often in Riverton in early March. Fall workshops tend to be in late September and rotate throughout the state. HERE is a sample itinerary from a past workshop.
- Summer Driver Conference: An annual conference the WPTA puts on to provide the needed 6 hours of training for your drivers (required by the state), training for your mechanics & trainers, a Vendor show, and supervisor meeting(s). These typically occur in Casper in late June / early July.
Mechanics
- Round Table Meetings: Throughout the year, mechanic round table meetings are offered
- Mechanic's Training: During each summer conference, a 2-3 day training if offered for district mechanics
Trainers

Drivers
